Yesterday I wrote about how to network. Today we’re taking similar advice from Karen Bolda at Ashland Daily Tidings. Bolda gives statistics that prove that online searches alone are not an effective job search technique. But what does work? Ask your friends, family, neighbors, colleagues, etc. for job leads. In other words, network with as many people as you can — you never know who might know of the perfect opportunity for you. Also, try talking to employers you want to work for, whether they have a vacancy or not. It never hurts to ask!
