Even Executives Need Twitter

Whether you’re an administrative assistant or Chief Executive Officer, you should be using more than just old-fashioned paper resumes and one job board. So if your job search is not yielding the results you want, try these other online job strategies. Executive Career Brand’s Meg Guiseppi advised her COO friend to use them in his job search. You should too:

  • Google Alerts (you can track information about companies you’re interested in, experts in the field, or topics that could help your professional development)
  • LinkedIn (create a profile! It’s not that hard…. And when we look to recruit candidates for our open positions, this is the first place we look)
  • Twitter (Not sure how to gain a following? Try re-tweeting other people’s advice while you develop your own interesting tweets.)
  • Network (reach out to old acquaintances. You never know who could help!)
